The SVN - Sterilisatie Vereniging Nederland aims to be the knowledge and network center in The Netherlands in the field of cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, transportation and management of medical devices.
Purpose:
The SVN seeks to increase knowledge, expertise, innovation, quality and professionalism in the field of disinfection, cleaning, sterilization, transportation and management of medical devices.
The association wants to achieve this by:
being in a powerful position in the Dutch health care system.
promoting mutual contacts and supporting and encouraging its members.
Increasing the knowledge and skills of its members by organizing and/or helping to organize continuous training, conferences, seminars and other forms of professional development and disseminating literature and information about the profession.
encouraging and carrying out fundamental and practical research in the field of cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, transporting and managing medical devices.
standardizing and ensuring the quality of professional practice and providing (further) quality control training.
acting as a contact for governments and exerting influence on legislation and regulations and all policies that affects the profession, both nationally and internationally.
enhancing the image of the profession and the professional pride by providing information to third parties.
